TikZFlow help
TikZFlow is a visual editor for TikZ flowcharts. The code and the canvas are side by side and follow each other: drag a node and one line of code changes; edit the code and the picture redraws. It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you draw is uploaded.
Your work is kept in this browser only. It isn't stored on any server, so clearing this site's data, or opening TikZFlow in another browser or on another computer, won't show it. Save important diagrams as files. Saving, tabs and your work explains how.
Topics
- Getting started: the editor's parts and your first diagram.
- Editing on the canvas: moving, adding, resizing and deleting nodes, and editing labels.
- Edges and labels: drawing and reconnecting edges, corners, curves and edge labels.
- Colors, fonts and styles: the properties panel, and changing one node or every node of a style.
- Layout, groups and swimlanes: automatic layout, boxes around nodes, and lanes.
- Templates, pasting and importing: starting points, existing TikZ, and Mermaid or Graphviz diagrams.
- The TeX preview: the picture as TeX draws it, its errors and notes, and your paper's page.
- Saving, tabs and your work: where your work is kept, files, tabs, Recently closed and two windows.
- Exporting and sharing:
.tex, SVG, PDF, PNG and share links. - Keyboard shortcuts: every key and mouse action.
- Privacy and offline use: what stays on your computer, and working without a connection.
- When something can't be edited: blocks kept as-is, locked nodes, and reporting a problem.
